Sports Premium
The government is continuing to provide additional funding to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.
Each year, as a school we receive £16,000 plus £10 per pupil from Years 1 to 6. This funding is used to improve and further develop the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision.
The key aims include increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.
Objectives of spending the PE grant:
- Sustain pupil participation in fixtures, festivals, sports clubs and events.
- Instil in pupils a love of sport and physical activity.
- Improve resources to support PE.
- Continue to broaden the sporting opportunities available to all pupils.
- Support staff in the delivery of quality PE lessons.
