St John Bosco Catholic Primary School

In today’s lesson, Year 6 delved into the story of the Titanic. As always, we started with a flashback:

✨ Last lesson: Who was Captain Edward Smith?

✨ Last term: What is a fascist dictator? (from our World War I topic)

✨ Last year: What came first—the Roman Empire or World War I?

✨ Random challenge: How was life different in the Stone Age compared to the Anglo-Saxon period?

The highlight of the lesson was a thoughtful debate on who should have been prioritised for rescue on the Titanic. This sparked conversations about class, privilege, and what values were like at the time and how they have evolved to recognise that every life is equally important, which is reflected in modern safety regulations.

Fantastic engagement and critical thinking from Year 6! 🌟
