In school, we celebrated National Democracy Day by holding class elections to vote on Pupil Leader representative. Children from Y2-Y6 were given the chance to put themselves forward for the role and deliver a speech to the rest of the class. 2 children from these classes were voted onto our Pupil Leader committee. The younger children carried out various tasks to help them understand what democracy means.
