Special Event - Bosco at the Olympics

9 August 2012

A group of children, parents and teachers descended upon the City of Coventry Stadium for the Bronze Medal match of the Womens’ Olympic football competition.

This was an amazing opportunity for the children to watch a London 2012 Olympic event live.

Unfortunately, Canada knocked Team GB out, so we were therefore watching France verses Canada. Most of the children were cheering on Canada but there were a few that opted for France.

France dominated the match and were unlucky not to score on a few occasions. However, in the dying seconds Canada broke away and nicked a goal to win the tie 1-0 and earn bronze.

After the game, the players did a lap of honour and we were fortunate enough to get photographs with one of the Canadian players.

Everyone had a brilliant time! The children will hopefully cherish this memory and in years to come, they will be able to say that they attended the London 2012 Games!
