Special Event - White Watch Fire Service

9 February 2016

On Tuesday 9th February 2016 White Watch from West Bromwich fire station came in to visit Reception Class. The crew came in and talked to children about what it is like to be a fireman. They showed children the clothing and apparatus that they need to wear and how to put it on.

The children then had the opportunity to visit the fire engine and look at the tools that get used to help people in danger. Next the children were extremely fortunate to have a go at spraying the hose, which they absolutely loved. Thank you so much to White Watch for coming to visit, we had a great time and we are looking forward to visiting you at the fire station in the summer term.

Well done to the Reception children, they showed such enthusiasm when talking to the firemen and their behaviour was as usual fantastic.
