Special Event - Christmas Trip to Ash End Farm

12 December 2014

On Friday 12th December Nursery and Reception went on our christmas trip to Ash End Farm.

We saw lots of farm animals and even had the chance to feed some sheep and goats. We then went to see some baby chicks that had just hatched. We learnt lots about the life of a chick and had the opportunity to stroke and hold them.

Next we went to see 'Rudolph' the reindeer and got to sit on Santa's sleigh. We had great fun singing christmas songs. We then went in to a stable where we dressed as characters from the nativity, we listened to the story of when Jesus was born and one of us dressed as Joseph got to sit on the donkey.

The last part of our day was a visit to a very special man... Santa! We all sat in a lovely warm room and listened to Santa, then we each went to speak to him and he gave us a present.

The children, parents and staff all had a lovely day. Thank you to our parents for their support with the trip. Merry Christmas from The Early Years!
